Ginger Margarita

Procedure:

Rim a rock glass with Salt. In a shaker glass filled with 2/3 ice, add ingredients, cover and shake vigorously. Pour drink into the salt rimmed rock glass, squeeze lime wedge and drop into drink. 

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 oz Sauza Tres Generaciones Anejo Tequila
  • .5 oz Cointreau
  • .75 oz Ginger-Lime Syrup
  • 1 Lime wedge
For the Ginger Lime Syrup:

Bring to a boil and puree. Strain, reserve liquid and dry pulp in a 170°F oven. When pulp is dry grind to a powder. Mix powder 50/50 with Kosher salt.

Ingredients:
  • 1 quart peeled and sliced ginger
  • 1 quart fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1 quart sugar
  • 1 stalk lemongrass smashed and sliced
